งานมหกรรมนวัตกรรมและเครือข่ายสตาร์ทอัพไทยที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดในประเทศ! 

ระหว่างวันที่ 22 - 24 มิถุนายน 2566 ณ ศูนย์การประชุมแห่งชาติสิริกิติ์ เร็ว ๆ นี้

เงินร่วมลงทุน "Venture Capital" เป็นเชื้อเพลิงสำคัญสำหรับการขับเคลื่อน "ธุรกิจสตาร์อัพ" ด้วยสตาร์อัพเป็นธุรกิจที่เน้นการนำไอเดียใหม่หรือนวัตกรรมมาใช้ในการตอบโจทย์ผู้บริโภค สินค้าและบริการของธุรกิจสตาร์อัพส่วนใหญ่จึงเป็นของใหม่ และเน้นเข้าถึงตลาดใหม่ที่พร้อมจะเติบโตอย่างก้าวกระโดด และต้องการเงินลงทุนเพื่อขยายผลและสร้างความเปลี่ยนแปลงในตลาดเหล่านั้น ซึ่งถือว่ามีความเสี่ยงหากเปรียบกับธุรกิจรูปแบบเดิมอย่าง SME ที่เน้นการเติบโตแบบคงที่ เส้นทางการเติบโตของธุรกิจสตาร์อัพจึงมีความแตกต่างและต้องการการเข้าถึงแหล่งเงินทุนรูปแบบเฉพาะ

ระบบนิเวศการลงทุนในธุรกิจนวัตกรรมของประเทศไทยมีความตื่นตัวนับตั้งแต่ปี 2012 จากกลุ่มธุรกิจผู้ให้บริการโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนอย่าง InVent, DTAC และ TRUE และได้เติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่อง นับตั้งแต่ปี 2016 กลุ่มธุรกิจด้านการเงินและการธนาคารก็เริ่มเข้ามามีบทบาท อย่าง Digital Ventures, Beacon, Krungsri Finnovate และ Bualuang Ventures และปัจจุบันกล่าวได้ว่ามีผู้เล่นหลายราย โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งกลุ่ม Corporate Venture Capital อย่าง ThaiUnion, Ananda, SCG, PTT และ Singha

ปี 2021 ถือได้ว่าเป็นปีทองของสตาร์ทอัพไทยที่กำเนิดยูนิคอร์นออกมาถึง 2 บริษัท ด้วยกัน ‘Flash Express ที่ผงาดขึ้นมาเป็นยูนิคอร์นตัวแรกของไทย’ ที่สามารถปิดดีลการลงทุนรอบ Series D+ และ E ไปได้สูงถึง 150 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ และ 'Ascend Money' สามารถระดุมทุน Series C ด้วยมูลค่า 150 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ และเป็นยูนิคอร์นตัวที่ 2 ซึ่งเป็นส่วนที่ช่วยสร้างความหวังให้กับสตาร์ทอัพรุ่นใหม่ๆ ที่จะเติบโตและดึงเม็ดเงินการลงทุน

สำหรับ "นักลงทุน" พวกเขามองหาอะไรจากการร่วมลงทุน? สิ่งที่นักลงทุนส่วนใหญ่มองหาจากธุรกิจสตาร์ทอัพคือ ความเปลี่ยนแปลง โอกาสและผลตอบแทนในอนาคต และการลงเงินจำนวนมากกับธุรกิจใหม่ พวกเขามองหาผู้ประกอบการและทีมที่มีศักยภาพ มีความตั้งใจและมุ่งมั่น รวมถึงเข้าใจตลาดและโอกาสของตลาด นอกจากนี้ ยังรวมถึงระบบนิเวศและกลไกที่พร้อมส่งเสริมให้ธุรกิจสามารถเติบโตอย่างก้าวกระโดดได้ (Ease of Doing Scaleup) อาทิ มาตรการทางภาษีจากรัฐบาล ข้อตกลงหรือกฎหมายที่เอื้อต่อการทำธุรกิจ และกลไกสนับสนุนทางการเงินและแหล่งที่จะเข้าถึงทุน (Availability of Funding) เพื่อให้มั่นใจว่าธุรกิจสตาร์ทอัพสามารถเติบโตและสามารถไปแข่งขันกับรายอื่น ๆ ในตลาดโลกได้

"Venture Capital" is a significant fuel for driving "Startup" businesses forward. Startups focus on using new ideas or innovations to meet consumer demands. So, their products and services are mostly new. And they aimed at accessing new markets that are ready for rapid growth. They require investment to expand their market. Startup businesses are considered riskier than traditional SMEs that focus on steady growth. The growth path of startup businesses differs and requires access to specialized funding sources.

The investment ecosystem for innovative businesses in Thailand has been increasingly active since 2012, led by mobile phone service providers including InVent, DTAC, and TRUE. In 2016, the financial and banking sectors also started to play a role, such as Digital Ventures, Beacon, Krungsri Finnovate, and Bualuang Ventures. Currently, there are numerous players in the market, particularly in corporate venture capital, such as ThaiUnion, Ananda, SCG, PTT, and Singha.

The year 2021 could be considered as a golden year of Thai startups, since two unicorns have emerged: "Flash Express"; the first Thai unicorn which was able to close Series D+ and E funding rounds at a high value of 150 million US dollars, and "Ascend Money", which raised 150 million US dollars in Series C funding and became the second unicorn. These two unicorns provided hope and opportunities for new startups to grow and attract investment.

What are “investors” looking for from investing? They are changes, opportunities, and returns in the future. To invest a large amount of money in a new business, investors must seek entrepreneurs and teams who have potential, intention, determination, as well as an understanding of the market and market opportunities. In addition, they also need the environment and mechanisms that are ready to promote startups to grow by leaps and bounds (Ease of Doing Scaleup), such as tax measures from the government, agreements or laws that facilitate business, and financial support mechanisms and funding sources (Availability of Funding) to ensure that startups can grow and compete with others in the global market.
