H.E. Mr. Sándor Sipos, Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand, together with the Embassy’s officers, and coordinators and students from The Mathias Corvinus Collegium Academy, Hungary, officially visited the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) (NIA) to learn about innovation system in Thailand, Startup Thailand ecosystem and related business incubation programs.
In this regard, Dr. Pun-Arj Chairatana, Executive Director of NIA gave a welcome remark and spoke on NIA's main mission on how government drives innovation in Thailand, international cooperation with foreign agencies through the Innovation Diplomacy initiative, and activities between NIA and Hungary achieved in the past years and also possible collaboration in the future. Furthermore, He shared knowledge and discussed about perspectives on various dimensions of innovation system with the students from The Mathias Corvinus Collegium Academy.
While Mr. Pariwat Wongsamran, Director of Startup Thailand and a NIA staff from the Innovation for Economy Department also added information on the role of NIA in promoting Thailand’s innovation ecosystem development, tools for creating and developing startup entrepreneurs, sources of fund, Global Startup Hub and intense collaboration with other agencies, both of public and private sectors to push Thailand to be in the top 30 countries in the Global Innovation Index by 2030.
